A buddy posted a note to the NANFA list. It seems that he was using a python water changer to fill a large tank. The dishwasher finished it's cycle and suddenly there was a surge of much warmer water in the fish tank! Opps!

Probably the last to figure this out, but I can never remember how many comments there were with a log entry or a dairy and whether there is a new one waiting to be read.
Duh! (The noise a rush of insight makes when one finally figures something out.) Go to the bottom of the page and click on either "Older Stories" or "More Diaries".
Shazaam! There's all the recent entries, number of comments and mention of any new ones. Sort of like fast forwarding through a rolodex. ;)
Neat software. Kudos to the programmer!

Well, at least her book will. ;)
A few days ago, assembled a sub-list from the growing "When I Become King of Borders List". Visits to the Aquatic Book Store www.seahorses.com and http://half.ebay.com/ caused a couple of the items from THE LIST to be ordered.

in Indianapolis. (A gathering of fish heads over lunch, several roundtable discussions, an - urp - chili dinner and a Charlie Grimes' program.)
Thought about G.G.'s Log on photography here quite a while ago. That was a good start.

The American Fisheries Society has cut prices on a large selection of fish books - now only $15 each. "There's some pretty good stuff in there..." my informant suggests.

Last September I recounted efforts to retrieve a trio (a male, two females) of Endler's livebearers from a planted, cluttered 40 gallon circular container, which actually had over 30 gallons of water in it. The male had died, the females were quite a bit larger than they had been. One small female was also with them.
I included the mention of the Endler's because they either are guppies or a close relative. They are pretty and fun to keep in any case. :)

A while back, I warned about feeding bloodworms, live, frozen or freeze dried and of possible allergic reactions if they were used carelessly. After defrosting a dollop of frozen blood worms in a jar of cool water, I returned the package to the freezer. There was a little of the "juice" of the stuff on the outside of the bag.

May our guppies have guppies.
May a plant grow where it never grew before.
May we catch and stop any new fish maladies in quarantine.
May tank maintenance become just a part of the daily/weekly routine.
May watching beautiful fish cavort, dance or go into paroxysms of ecstasy over food never become routine.
