My large female who looks very pregnant is not eating, her spot is dark and big, and she hides. These are all signs of delivering soon. That's what I read on the internet. But it has been a while. I am leaving on the 15th for vacation. It's the 10th. I think she is going to have them while I am gone. I just "adopted" a guppy fry from petsmart!

We were at petsmart getting some vacation feeders when I decided to look at the guppies(of course!). I was looking at one of the male tanks when I saw a little white fry. It was about a centimeter long. It was a white molly. Then a saw an adorable guppy fry! I asked if I could have her and petsmart let me take her home! She is sooo cute! Even though my very fat female hasn't dropped yet, this makes up for it(for now!). She's a little over a centimeter long and already has her color..... Too many fry! I only wanted a couple. Now I have ten. Oh well, at least some of them are very pretty(some are almost half grown). One is a half black red. They also gave me a black molly baby who is about a fourth grown. She's very cute. I know mollies aren't very good tank mates with guppies, but right now she's doing ok. Does anyone on here breed mollies, too? I really want to breed them also. I would need another tank, but I think I could convince my mom ;) (2 comments, 209 words in story) Full Log Entry

I am currently on vacation, but the day we left, Goldie suprised me! An hour and a half before we had to leave for the airport, I saw fry in the tank! There were about 8 when we had to switch her to ten gallon(to save the born babies). Sadly, most of the fry that were still due are probably eaten :(. Oh well, at least I have (at least) 8 adorable fry! My other female Lacy was really fat when I left, so she will be due when I get back! (2 comments, 104 words in story) Full Log Entry

I thought there were 8 fry in the 2 gallon when I left. Now there are only 4! And two of them look very weird. Their backs bend down and their tails are crooked! Now I only have two good fry to raise :( Three fry are a goldish color(like their mother) and one is black like my other female. I couldn't believe how much they grew over a 10 day vacation in a 2 gallon! Anyway, Lacy(my other female) is 23 days along in her gestation period, so hopefully I'll have more fry soon. Sorry I keep posting entries but I have a lot of questions! My friend has a couple of male bettas and a female. She is very pretty actually, she is what's called a white opaque. My friend also has a white opaque male. She wants to breed them. Do you have any tips for breeding them? I've done my research, and she has too, but she wants more info from a real person. Yeah! I've been trying to breed my bettas for a while and three days ago, they finally spawned! They fry hatched today, and they are SO tiny!
