Upon closer inspection of (G1-2)males, found one to be a female. Moved to other tank, still appears to be a virgin guppy. May breed in future,
depending on characteristics of brother. Brother starting to show some color.
Gave 4 (Y-2) babies away, still leaving me with
about 10. Must have had more than I thought.
Too early to determine sex in last litter, I hope,
otherwise I have 30+ females.

Update, 005/18/03. (G-1) Female had another litter of babies (Gb-2). I knew she would because she was still so large and black in back even after she delivered the first thirty +. Didn't I say, ONE BIG FAT GUPPY??
This litter is a little smaller, 20+. It is so hard to count with so many fry in one tank. This litter's father is the bottom tail sword as well.

Found about four much smaller fry in breeding tank a few weeks ago. Not sure if they were new, or just haven't grown as fast as their siblings.
Sent 7 guppies to Pisces Moon, three males and four females. Sent one male from each litter, and
for the females, sent one large clear gray, one with tail coloring, and two other smaller, but real nice clear grays.

Brought 5 males and 14 females to LPS. Received
$10 in store credit. Not bad.
Moved breeding / fry tank downstairs due to higher temperature readings in upstairs location.
Only four small fry at this time. Mother, "Fertile
Myrtle", looks to be finished with offspring from prior mating. PHEW!!!
Coloring/tails still developing on males. Will probably breed "clown" guppy, "Gus", and one other
in a few more weeks, depending on brood size.
Want to see if "Myrtle's" fertile gene repeats itself.

Returned home from vacation.
All fish are doing well.
Thought the males would color up more while away.
Checked with site, and followed Scott's advice on new variety of food to introduce.
Was able to easily distinguish six males in with females after two weeks, and one female who fooled me, in with the males.
OOOPS!!!!
Should have looked more closely before leaving.
Separated them into proper tanks.
Will definately hold off on any further mating for now.

Received an e-mail this morning from Pisces Moon.
The guppies that I sent to her had babies that were discovered around 2:00 AM.
This litter will be the third generation in the
swortail mating. She is actually farther along
then I am now, but I am so happy for her, and can't wait to hear of the results.

Well I think I may be OK, even with my oops.
None of the females seem to be pregnant, thier gravid spots have not grown any bigger in the past two weeks.
7/18 bought small filtration unit for small tank originally purchased to help sex fry.
Set up with gravel and one live plant.
Too CUTE!(+) A lot of work for something so small chemistry wise. (-). Originally moved three females to observe regarding pregnancy.

Yesterday I purchased two clown loaches from a great little store I found called "Doolittle's Pet Shoppe".
Hopefully, they will help me with the snail problem that I have in my deep hex display tank.
They were all hiding behind the filter in the tank at the store, and I have heard they could be quite shy.
I thought that once I let them out of the bag they would disappear for a few days, not so...

Well, when I decided to get clown loaches I did a little research, and found that they like to have a lot of places to hide in.
I already had a large lava rock with three nice size "caves". The largest one was my blue gourami's favorite, so I thought that the two near the bottom would be good for the clowns.
But, that wasn't good enough for me, because I also found out that they like to "root" in the gravel, and sleep on their sides.
So I decided to build them a house....
