The NJAS (North Jersey Aquarium Society) has their Mega Aquarium Fish Weekend October 26/27/28:
If you look at their web site, they have one of the most awesome speaker schedules I have ever seen: http://www.njas.net/calendar.htm
If you are in New England, this is certainly something to catch.
New England Fancy Guppy Association / 2007 Annual
Show Dates November 2nd, 3rd & 4thh
That is essentially the IFGA annual, end of the year, national show.
These represent just a small fraction of the wonderful opportunities available to aquarists this time of the year. Google your region or state or urban area and aquarium club or aquarium society. Check their schedules.
There may be some great temptations. And remember that, "A temptation such as that may not come again." At least until next spring or fall. ;)
We will be in and out and on the road a lot the next two weeks. Don’t have a wireless laptop at the moment and Internet access will be infrequent. Our fish sitter/ house sitter has been briefed and almost every tank has been labeled, frozen food is laid in to the freezer, worm boxes are rinsed and in the refrigerator and extra flake food is backing up the regular containers on the shelf. I look forward to looking in on Guppylog when we can. My wife is very gracious about our going (or at least I getting to go) to fishy events. We also have vacations, which are the lady’s choice. :)
All the best!
