I need some advice. I have a ten-gallon tank with three Rasboras, one medium size gold fish and now only one guppy.

I had about five guppies, three female and one male. Now I only have one female. Over the past month they have slowly died, one a week. I do not know why. my tank is about 79 degrees most of the time but some times drops to about 73 because I have no heat in my bedroom and my heater can't keep up with the coldness right away. I would like to know why they are dying. I buy them from Big Al's and they come healthy and everything. I don't know why they are dying. Only guppies though are dying.

#1 Goldfish shouldn't be in with tropical fish.
#2 guppies are touchy about changes in temperature, maybe you should invest in a better heater.
#3 New Tank Syndrome. Please read up in the Immediate Help Section on cycling a tank, adding new additions, and keep in mind the 1gal per inch of fish rule (except goldfish which should have 5gal per inch of fish)
*BEFORE you buy fish make sure you understand what "Cycling" a tank means <- quoted from miskaral* ~Trying to make a difference one fish at a time~

Is your tank new or did you just do a big water change because you could have ammonia in your watter why not try testing your watter for it.
