Do male guppies "dance" for a female's attention?

My male guppies will sometimes go in front of a female and fan his tail way out, then swim back and forth. Almost like he wants her attention. Do male guppies actually do stuff like that sometimes? Because the only time they do this, is when they're in front of a female.

oh yes - our's shimmies around our 2 females with all his fins spread wide, showing off, all the time - the fact that he looks like a rocket ship makes it even funnier.
