Ok - I'm in the process of doing an upgrade, due to us having a VERY old codebase, #1, and some security issues, #2. Unfortunately, as those of you who have looked at the site in the last 16 hours are painfully aware, it did not go well! I have rolled back to what we were using before, and will be attempting the upgrade again here shortly.

Why fix what ain't broke? When will the upgrades be available then? Security issues? Like how? I haven't experienced a problem with the site before though. Luckily for me.But I am curious as to what the security issues are about.

That’s a good idea. What other upgrades are you planning to do on this website? Aside from an upgrade on security, maybe you can add more animation and graphics just to make the site more lively and entertaining. I sure it will not take a long time to upgrade this website. Your members are probably excited to see what’s new and in store for them.

everything up and reformat my hard drives.

The backups are not a bad idea anyway. :)

Aww, I missed all the fun and games ;)
Backup unc!! I had a friend lose a heap of stuff the other day including photos of grandkids all because she didn't back it up. Hmm, I have a week's worth of digital pics not backed up so who am I to talk! (They're all of fish tanks so not really in the top 10% of important photos) I even have a note to myself to do a backup. Hopefully nothing will happen between now and tomorrow and I will do it then.

Good luck Scott. Hope it goes smooth for you this time round. On rare occasions I come across comments/replies to older entries that are obviously spam. I just delete them as the users never come back. I know I should block/ban them but it's so slow on dialup. If it mattered I would do it but like I said, they don't usually return.
