That I made a big mistake putting all the fry in the male tank. I could not catch them with out getting the males too. And I could not tell them all apart. Well I just spent the last hour and a half sorting the males from the fry. ALL the fry are now in the 1 1/2 gallon tank and thats where they are going to stay. Well that is until they are old enough to sex.
I tried something new. You know how you can feed your guppies brineshrimp? I thought if you can feed them that then I wounder if they would like store bought shrimp (already cooked in the bag frozen). Man did they love that. I did it a little bit at a time so there would be no left overs in the tank. They would fight over the little pices that I put into the tank. The Fry loved it too. Most of it went to the bottem of the tank but they went down right after it. So I have now found a new snack for my Guppies. All that I did was take 1 frozen shrimp and cut it up as small as I could it. Then I rub it with my fingers until it was soft then mushed it with a spoon. After that just put a few little pices in at a time.
Every so many days I find a new snail. I don't really now how many are there because we don't see them until they are about the size of a pea. I am going to start getting them out as I see them and take them to the pet store. She said that she would take them.
Well my guppies look great, my tanks have never been better, and my Pleco with the spot (who I have now named Spot) looks like nothing happened to him. I thank you all for the help that you gave me in my time of need. If it was not for this site I don't think my wee ones would have made it.
