To help fo-fill your tank of everything you need I made a list for you so, that your fish thrive.

1.An aquarium depending on the amout of fish you have. For every 2 fish you get youll need at least 2 gallons.

2.Tropical fish food ( you should get new food every 2 months)

3.a filter system with cartridge (change cartride every 6 months or as needed)

4.substrate (gravel is the best)

5.Plants so, your fry can hide(a nursery would also be good)

6.water de-chlorinator(add eight drops each gallon)

7.7 is the lucky number and the next item is the best.GUPPIES!!!!

We need to know what you have and then we can tell you what else you need.

Other wise I would help.

Let us know what you have ok.
Happy fish keeping :-)

i agree with J-ME. what have you got?

also, you will need to let your tank sit for much longer than a few days. please check the immediate help section (upper right hand side of screen) and look under setting up/cycling, i'm not sure what it's under.

Just to add to Nancy4Fishes comment...
You will also need to provide an ammonia source to get the good bacteria growing. This can be done using pure ammonia or, if the tank is very large, you can use a couple of guppies and just add 2 more guppies every few of weeks. Make sure that you understand that a tank with just water, heater, gravel and filter is not cycling.
