yes, any fish could fight with another fish, regardless of size or how common it is. of course, if a guppy decided to tango with a great white, it wouldn't last long, but they would still "fight" for about 2 seconds...

male guppies wil often fight over females and space. if you have 10 full grown guppies in a 5 gal, there's going to be rockets.

if you have 4 males and a female, male guppies have been known to decicate and destroy each other.

use the rules of thumb(s?): 1 inch of full grown fish per gallon (or something like that).

AND

atleast 2 females per male.

follow these rules, and you should have no problems, guppy on guppy. obviously, if you get a vicious species of fish and put it with your guppies, things won't turn out to great.
