is more photogenic than I am. He probably is more pleasant company too. ;)
I notice the system accepted DJ (Jerimiah) to the system after a while. That happened with the photo I submitted too; it didn't register right away.
Several names I recognized immediately. It is also nice to make Craig's, Eleanor's and srsguppy's acquaintance too. :)
Srsguppy, I notice you really want to find guppy breeders in your area. That makes a lot of sense. I don't know that there are a lot of guppy clubs up your way, but there are some terrific aquarium clubs in the Pacific Northwest. Since it may be the end of time before I get a comprehensive club list rebuilt, maybe I should urge you to Google your state (Washington) and aquarium societies or your state and aquarium clubs or even your state and guppy clubs. I would also try that little trick for Oregon and nearby Canadian provinces, although the US Fish & Wildlife is making bringing fish into the US sometimes a hassel and if you have more than about two pairs of guppies, expensive. If that becomes a possibility, we can explore what legally is to be done in detail.
If you really want to get into the search, here are some directories, selected because they might have something for your area. Notice that the site The Krib is from your neck of the woods.

(Miskairal, I have a larger list for IH and it is still growing.)
I think we have traded a few comments, but I also wanted to mention to KMcCaig how much I envy him for all of those intriguing looking bodies of water near Calion! The 2005 NANFA (North American Native Fishes Association) convention was up the Highway in Little Rock and I really wanted to attend, but we were still cruising around Maryland after the AKA convention. For a few images see http://www.nanfa.org/convention/2005pics/
They are holding the 2006 NANFA national convention this fall, several more hours drive from you. Specifically, they will be the guests of the Missouri Dept. of Conservation, Sept. 14-18, 2006, at Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I hope to be there.
For more on that and their other conventions, see http://www.nanfa.org/convention.shtml
(I'm trying to catch one national convention a year. More that that is just too expensive in terms of time, money and effort caring for what follows one home.)
I know that most of the members of Guppylog are largely interested in guppies and community tanks of tropical fish. Not trying to scare people off by mentioning all of these other fishy organizations and activities. Still it can be fun and even educational learning about other kinds of fish, their habitats, lives and care. (It may even give us hints about our own set-ups or make us grateful we are just keeping what we have.) That doesn't mean that anyone here need ever keep them. For instance, we ran over to over to our local library recently. Among the items borrowed was the Peterson Field Guide to Atlantic Coast Fishes of North America. I specifically want to read over (and copy) the few pages on livebearers and killies. Still thereis some other stuff which is also intriguing and fun to read about. However, just because the drawing of an oarfish is cool, we certainly are never going to try and house a marine fish which grows in length to 20-50 feet 6-15 meters!
All the best!
