Yeah! I've been trying to breed my bettas for a while and three days ago, they finally spawned! They fry hatched today, and they are SO tiny! About 1/10 the size of a baby guppy, which make my guppy fry look huge! The bad news is, my guppy tank has been struck with fungus.

Is there any way to help cure it besides the medicine I treated it with? Also, one of my male bettas has tons of fungus. Can you help me with that? And to top it off, my female betta keeps jumping out of her tank and I find her all shriveled up and when I put her back in, she gets TONS of fungus! Ahh! She healed yesterday, but jumped out again. I didn't have a lid for her tank so I made one. Help!

My Mum used to have a male betta she called Jumpin' Jack Flash. She lost count of how many times she found him on the floor like a piece of old leather despite having the tank covered with a multitude of things. One time he even made his way to the front door about 4 metres away where she nearly stood on him whilst closing up the house for the night. I really think this fish didn't like her, her house or his "mates" in nearby tanks, I mean really, trying to get out the front door was a big hint ;)

He got fungus every time and was treated each time (just with fungus cure) and would eventually heal up only to repeat his next attempt at escape. Oh, and he would stop eating for up to a week too. The last time his fins healed up yet again but he died a couple of days later.

well well, not good that she is jumping out, but you say that you made a make-shift lid??? Have you tried netting and just tying it down around her bowl??? That would keep her safe and not hurt her if she does jump up......as for the fungus, pet stores will have treatments....you just have to ask the people there and someone will show you what to use......good that they had their babies though!!! that's nice....so tiny!!! wow!!! I just bred some of my guppies today, but I'm gonna sell a bunch of them to a pet store next week, so I won't get most of the babies.....
