You know you're a little addicted if you await tommorrow patiently, so you'll be conforming to the one-post-per-day rule...

In any case, a happier update.

My male's tail is healing.. and his scales are perfect again.  Now he has this charming little nick in the edge of his tail...

I did absolutely nothing except remove the female to another tank.  Do you think it's possible that she was doing something to him?  The three splits were perfect lines.. they didn't look nibbled-on.  How odd.

I continue to have bubble-collecting issues at the top of the tank.  I'm going to change the water today.. wish me luck.

I really want to put the desk gang back into the ten-gallon, especially given the male's healing tail, but now I'm worried about the two half-grown fry in there who have clampy fins.  Nothing ever just.. goes right in that tank.  x.x

The female honestly does look better in that little tank.  I'm hoping she'll do the job of cycling it for me.  I feel a little bad for putting her into uncycled water, but she seems fine.  Still doing the hovering-at-the-top schtick, but she's been doing that for a while.  She has two African Dwarf Frogs keeping her company in there now, and they're so.. sosocute.

I just wish I knew what those two slight protrusions on her sides were.  They don't look like anything I've ever seen in pictures.  I'm debating trying a salt bath.
