Well my 3 tanks are doing awesome now. I haven't had any problems for a few months now. Nor have I bought any new fish in a while. This might be my only saving grace.

After having my 55 gallon unsealed for well over 2 years from the date that it was given to me as being worthless, I have finally sealed it... Last summer I attempted at a seal, but was unsuccessful at the attempt and due to the toxic smell of the sealant (even though it has no warnings, it stinks.) I did not want to do it indoors and thus it sat for the winter, empty and teasing me every morning when I wake up.. (It's at the foot of my bed) But now that its summer again I reattempted it and what do you know. I conquered it.

So after I added in all the needed items, filters, heater, gravel ECT... I let it sit for a week, watching for any leaks due to pressure changes from extra equipment and water temp changes. But I was happy to see there was none... Feeling that my Tank had been thoroughly sealed and ready for fish I then transferred the first of the Occupants... First an Opaline Gourami (unsure of sex) and 4 Goldfish (soon to be 7)

55 Gallon Tank Occupants
1 Opaline Gourami

4 Goldfish

    1 Albino

In my other tank (my oldest tank) is all of my Guppies this 10 gallon tank is around 19 years old... I have had it for a long time and calcium buildup on the sides are making it hard to see through. (From hard water) So it is very close to retirement in exchange for a newer cleaner model of the same or maybe twice its size. In this tank I had 5 males, 6 female guppies and around 50 fry born from a mother who passed away and from the looks of it the father who also died not long after...

The fry are swimming all around the 10 gallon quite content and are starting to show the signs of there breading. The mother I know. She was a beautiful one. Not exactly what I would call a fancy female, but one with obvious fancy in her, She was a nice midnight blue with Black dots. Quite beautiful...

This is a picture that I found that illustrates how her tale was colored, though not quite as full as the one pictured. Thus making me think that perhaps she had some normal guppy blood in her... With the darkness of black coming out in there tails and whatnot it is obvious to me who the father was. A beautiful Fancy Black Guppy for example see

So I am quite happy with that birthing... I am hoping to get the fish to come out as half black aoc's

But while watching over the 10 gallon tank and the babies within I noticed that another one of my 5 remaining males has really become run down. This could be from a few different reasons. 1 that the competition is to fierce for the females or 2 that he is just becoming to old (or a combination of the two) this male is a veriegated snake skin (good picture here)
http://fancyguppy.50megs.com/images/varigatedsnake1.jpg
In  hopes of letting him survive I decided to remove my other males from the 10 gallon and place them into the 55 gallon, in hopes that he will become better, and if not, sire a few batches of fry.

So I then began to remove my 4 other males into the 55 gallon tank, The next oldest male to the veriegated snake skin is a beautiful orange guppy close to the way this one is colored

  but mine is more orange

The other two males that I have is two endler's but are still young, (both born at home) and tails have not fully developed but there coloring is coming in nicely... kinda like this...

And the Fourth was the only surviving fry from my last birthing a nice sunset... kind of like this...
http://www.greenparktropical.com/Fish/images/Guppy/Blue%20Variegated%20Guppy.jpg
but none of his dots are showing yet

So now in my 55 gallon I have

1 Opaline Gourami
4 Goldfish
    3 Gold
    1 Albino
2 Endler Male Guppies
1 Orange Male Guppy
1 Veriegated Guppy

And in my 10 Gallon
6 Various Guppy Females
50 odd Black Guppy Fry
1 Varigated Snake Male Guppy

At the moment 1 of the females are looking not days away from dropping as now her light pink area has started to darken quite a bit. I hope to watch her drop in the 10 Gallon to see if the babies do alright, if not I will take her back to my 20 Gallon Tank (or just move the breeder into the 10 gallon). Once she is done dropping then I will see how many babies she has and whether or not some culling will be necessary...

As for my 20 gallon... My main tank at the moment is a bit too much to go into right now to add to this, and I have to do some water changes and whatnot... So that will all be happening, The 20 galloners might just have to camp in the 55 gallon, though I would rather avoid that. But the placo who is quite large now might retire into there, as I fear the 20 gallon is too small for him now...

Yay for the sealing of the tank at last. You have been very patient DJ. I hope you have that tank at least the 19 years you have had your 10 gallon.
