Fry Update

Well, my fry seem to be doing ok... Just that the crushed up finely food flakes I have been giving them, they seem to spit out...

What I mean is they take the food into their mouth, but after a couple of seconds, they spit it out!! I also give them hard boiled egg yolk which I don't know if they eat...
Baby Brine Shrimp I heard is good, but I am FLAT BROKE and my dad doesn't want to spend anymore money on ANY type of animals, especially animals that you feed to other animals!! So what should I do!??! Do you think they are eating it even if I can't see it?
Hopefully they will be ok!
Oh and my friend will give me this type of fry food that they "breathe" in, it dissolves in water I guess. Is that a good kind of fry food?
