Hi,
I just want to ask a question about fry and pregnant females:

I just bought my 2 female guppies (Amazon and Fancy, their names)from my LFS which kept males and females together in the same tank. The females look a little bit pregnant. Like a little meaning you can tell they are pregnant when you look at them for awhile but not at a first glance at them.
How long until they will give birth?

I need to know because I don't have a second tank yet for the male and females when the females are done with birth. Of course so that they don't eat the fry, I will have to separate the adults from the fry. But all I know is I need a second tank and I would appreciate it if you can guess or tell me when they will release the fry.
Thank you so much! :)

times, in the last week or so, that female guppies drop their fry in roughly 30 day cycles. Please read the other submissions and diaries, which are right next to yours. They can be just as valuable as the  threads your questions generate.

All the best,
u.s.
