Hey fish lovers,

Sorry I've been away so long.

I have a very close friend, and neighbor who became very ill a few months ago.

About the same time my computer went on the fritz.
(I don't think the two incidents were related, but if they were, I had some REALLY BAD-A$$ Karma/Mojo going on.)

To make a very long story short, after debugging my CD/DVD-ROM Drive, I awoke the next morning to find that my entire system had gone to computer pergatory. (It was as dead as a little grey fuzzy thingy behind a box filter) I don't think it was good enough to make it into heaven either.

Needless to say, since I am the one who uses it the most, I had to table the repair for the time being.

Well, I wish I could say my neighbor is doing much better, however, she was hospitalized again a week ago.

I had to order and install a new power supply for my computer, and once that was done I still couldn't get my Internet to work.

Days on the phone with tech support, trying everything under the sun, wishing I hadn't tossed out the last AOL CD I got in the mail(now that my drive was working), with everyone in the house breathing down my neck because now they all had an incredibly important NEED----AHHHHHHHH!

Well, the good news is that I only lost one guppy in the midst of all of this, and he died of old age. I'll have to look up on my Diary to see when he was born. Actually, I don't think that one loss is that bad considering the pathetic way I've been taking care of them as of late.

Time to practice more of what I preach, which is another reason that I've been absent....
Raised by guilt....
I don't know why the "Do-as-I-say,-not-as-I-do" gene, didn't get passed on to me from my mother???

Sorry for the long, meant to be short, entry.

gg
:o)

Hey there gg SOOO glad to have you back!!

I was starting to think something had happened to you so am relieved to hear we will once again be entertained with your humour and ditto to all of unc;e's comment. Unc;e has held the fort well in your absence with help from PeterW and a few others.

Lots of new people here as you have probably seen and check out the number of anonymous visitors - quite amazing at times.

Cheerio

Sorry to hear of your computer woes and the illness of your friend. Things like a friend's illness put goofing off with little fish in perspective. Hope she does better and better.

You spending time with and being as supportive as you can of that neighbor is so... well, Guppygirl. :)

Look forward to your comments on GL, though I'll probably have to watch my Ps and Qs. ;)

All the best!
unc;e
