Hello. A friend of mine ask me to ask Guppylog about a problem she is having. Her tank is a 20 gallon, the temp is 80 degrees F, She recently had a nitrate problem because she added four fish at once (now she knows not to do that.) I know this is a site for Guppy or other livebearer problems, but everyone here has been such a help to me and my mollies that I thought I would try for my friend.

| Two of her new fish are orange swordtails and one looks like its mouth is all chewed up or falling apart and the other one has a growth right in front of its dorsel fin. It is a fresh water tank, and like I said a couple weeks ago she added too many fish at once and the nitrate level went just above normal and she lost an angel fish and one of her new quarries. The levels are perfect now. Any ideas on the swordtails, they aren't pine coning so I don't think its dropsy.
Thank you for any ideas or help. Aubrey |
