dimethyl (2,2,2-trichloro-1-hydroxyethyl)phosphonate which is one of those organophosphates. The first study up on google suggested that it is not as carcingenic as charged. However Burgess et al note that it is (among other things) an insecticide which also has "A potential neural-toxicity to man, his pets and environment." The note that it is controled in some countries and recommend that it only be used under the supervision of a vet.
You're not going to go to a vet. You probably don't want to throw it out. But be very careful with it, keep it away from every one else, don't breath it and use as little of it (smaller treating tank) as possible. It is a contact and stomach poison which is used all over the place around people's homes and even in raising food animals. I hope we don't look back on it like we look back on mercury in the environment and DDT.
This is one of those things which is so frustrating about these thing. Who carries a chemistry list in their heads when at the LFS.
If overdosed it is also highly toxic to fish and birds.
As teased as mentioned before, I can imagine a couple of well phrased questions could panic a pet dealer.
All the best!
