I got 3 new fish, and one huge shrimp...

In total from my friend I got 1 Black Mollie, 2 Tiger Barbs and one huge shrimp.... You can see them at my Briefcase at

That is quite a shrimp. What does it eat? (none / 0) (#1)

What species might it be? And is it full grown? :)

Watch your tiger barbs. You probably have heard that they will chase and sometimes nip at other fish. Poor companions anyway for guppies, they often behave better in schools of 6-10 because they are busy interacting with each other. Its is almost like they are so busy watching their neighbors and guarding their flanks, that they don't go after someone else. :)

If they are accustomed to the mollie and shrimp, that may not be an issue. Watch to see if one badgers the other though. The mollie looks like a female, they will be "fond" of baby mollies.

Well I'm not quite sure on the species of the shrimp yet, but if it's full grown I would have to say I sure hope so, because he is already the biggest in the tank... I hope to search around to day to figure out exactly what kind it is... and for food, i just feed it the same as the rest of the fish, with fish food, and it collects them on its fan's and eats it.. other then that it walks around cleaning the bottom...

I have noticed that the tiger barbs are a pretty active fish and that it will chase the others around the tank if they show any fear. And that it does nip at fins a little bit... but I hope to have my 55 gallon up and running again soon so hopefully they will have more then enough room...

Really you think the Mollie is a girl? Well that is good to hear :) maybe soon I will have some little Mollie fry in my tank with my 3 week old guppy fry :)
