Speaking of awkward situations on the net. Several times on various maling lists (more by fishheads than net geeks, because some aquarists aren't as into the computer and Internet stuff) I have seen people, intending to communicate on the side, forget to change the address. So instead of mailing his, sometimes pungent note to an individual as a side bar conversation, it is sent out to hundreds of people. Most of the times it is of no consequence or just amusing. A couple of times it was very awkward because someone really got blasted.

A wise person once suggested that one never write on the Net what she or he wouldn't want their boss reading ten years from now.:)
