Soft Bellys

Hey All,
I didn't know where to put this, so I decided to put it under Diarys b-cuz it would show up imediatly.

This morning when I woke up I went to look at "Negro" my pregnant female guppy.
She had given birth to about 7 that I saw...I'm positive she has eaten others though. She was in the breeder net over the night (thankfully).
But when I took the fry out, and put them in a ahem..Glad wear :) to let them float in a warmer tank (other than being froze just sitting/swimming there..) so as I set them in the tank I noticed that there bellys looked a little "Soft"..If I'm correct, that means that they are pre-mature right? And I shouldn't feed them? Yeah, I will do somemore looking up on that, please tell me if I'm right. Their bellys look shiney, unlike all the others I've seen b-4.

She has been pregnant for quite some time. I brought her home from pets mart a month ago, she was pregnant then, but not too far along..as someone has said b-4 don't bring too pregnant fish home, that might cause them too much stress therefore killing the fry. So..I've now had her for about a month she looked about 2 weeks pregnant when I brought her home. And she bonded with my male swordtale pretty well. I don't think that they are his though. They don't look to have sword-tails would they grow on later? I'm pretty new to swordtales, so any info you could give me would be fantastic! Thanks for being such a great site!
Negro hasn't had any more babies since this morning when I found them. But she still looks to be very pregnant..I hope she has them soon..She doesn't look as if she is in pain though, somewhat of a look of loss (babies are gone somewhere else) and bordom..:) I don't blame her.

Whatever the case info would be great asap. Thanks a bundle.
Audios!

Can you please explain what you mean by soft? I've been pondering on that and I have fry of my own I've been investigating and I cannot figure out what you mean by that.

Their bellys have healed. But what I meant by "Soft" was they looked kind of glossy..not all the way healed.
Um..I really don't know how to explain it..It looked pretty Puffed out..Hangyish..I'm sorry, but I think that is the best way to describe what they looked like. They have however healed. So I guess they just needed some time.
Thanks for your concern, and writing me "Something".
As Always,
Ashley the Fish

I'm wondering if they were possibly premature since the softness went away.  I'm not sure because I haven't seen that before.

But I'm glad to hear they are going to make it.

Good luck!
Maggie
