I have all my newborn fry in a smaller tank, but I think I should clean the tank before my babies start getting sick or anything.  However, do I have to remove the fish in order to do a minor cleaning?  I wonder if I could just put them in a separate container in the original water while I clean the tank or if they can remain in the tank while I clean it.  They're only 2 days old and I guess I'm worried I'll lose these precious little fry that I've waited so long for.

i have about 80 fry in my 10 gal. i dont clean the tank until they get bigger than i move them.  the left over food and everthing is good for them so ther is always some food at the bottom.  i run my tank with a box filter  i thin thats the best.  just leave them in there but dont over feed!!!
