I was wondering if it was ok to travel with my guppies by car for a few hours.  It's just that the last time I left them with someone I came back and one was dead.  I have a smaller more manageable tank that I could carry them in, but the filter won't be able to be on while we're driving.  The trip probably won't last more than 4-5 hours, do you think that'll be too long?  I only have 3 females by the way.

Just an idea if you couldn't take the fish with you & you were only going to be gone for a few days. You could go to the pet store and buy the 'weekend feeders' that will give your fish something to eat while your gone but yet you don't have to have anyone there for it.

Hi Jen,
Those "feeders" are not recommended here at GL. Check out this log entry Feeding Options while away By smartykg90. In that, unc;e says "Save your $. Don't by those plaster of Paris shell-jobbies with a little food in them."

Cheerio
