Met lots of neat fish heads. Romped through hours of fishy conversations and workshops. Also, worked pretty hard.

Took some probably awful photos. Spent too much on some gorgeous guppies. Gotta be on the road in six hours.

Details on Tuesday. Will find a way to post the photos. They probably aren't as good as Guppy Girl's. :)

Glad you liked them! (none / 0) (#1)
by guppygirl on Wed Oct 15, 2003 at 02:54:51 PM PST

I thought they came out pretty well this time.

Do you know if Scott is going to be able to post them?

I've gotta get to one of those shows sometime.
They sound like a ton of fun!!!

I must heed your warning, and make sure I have extra room!!
:-)

Sorry, it's been insaine this week. (none / 0) (#3)
by Scott Lockwood on Thu Oct 16, 2003 at 02:00:49 PM PST

What with Reza falling and hurting herself (feeding my fish, no less) and work, plus my mid term last night - it's been CRAZY to say the least.

I'll get to that, and I want Scott's pic's to post, too!

Is Reza OK? (none / 0) (#4)
by guppygirl on Thu Oct 16, 2003 at 09:57:47 PM PST

Hey Scott, don't worry about it, is Reza OK?  Did she break anything, or just land hard?

How did your midterm go do you think?
What subject was it in?
Sorry things have been so nuts for you.
Just think Thanksgiving break isn't too far off!!

Ah, the college life...

I'm fine... (5.00 / 1) (#5)
by Reza on Fri Oct 17, 2003 at 01:19:23 AM PST

Sore, bumped and bruised, but doing ok.
I think I scared everyone because I'm pregnant--but I have enough tush-padding (ok, big butt) that it absorbed alot of the fall.  Baby is healthy and growing fine (had an ultrasound yesterday)...I'm still limping a bit when I sit too long and get stiff, but we're doing ok.

Thanks!
:-)

I'm so glad you (for the most part) (none / 0) (#6)
by unclescott on Fri Oct 17, 2003 at 01:36:20 AM PST

and the baby are ok Reza! Scares like that, legitimately, make keeping a bunch of little fish in small glass boxes seem pretty insignificant by comparison!

They tell me... (5.00 / 1) (#7)
by Reza on Fri Oct 17, 2003 at 08:23:25 AM PST

...that everything will stay good (and everyone will stay happy) and I should just follow doc's advice and stay in bed and off my feet and everything will be fine.  I'm not one for fuss and bother, but I guess I have to do what the boss says!

When the time comes, we'll make sure we let everyone know more of this Lockwood *fry* (when, what, etc). :-)  We all know how everyone enjoys baby-fish news...baby ichtheologist news too? ;-)

When is the blessed event scheduled? (none / 0) (#8)
by guppygirl on Fri Oct 17, 2003 at 12:49:48 PM PST

I'm glad you're only bruised. Is this the first Lockwood "fry"?

I'd do as the doctor says.
My doctor told me the same thing....

"Stay in bed, keep your feet up...."

Ah, I remember that MOMENT well.

Due Date.. (none / 0) (#9)
by Reza on Fri Oct 17, 2003 at 03:02:41 PM PST

Well, as far as we've known til now, our due date has been January 6th.

This will be Lockwood Fry #2.  Fry #1 will have his first birthday the day before Thanksgiving.  He is a big little boy for only going on a year.....but a darling, and we'll keep him. :-)

I try to stay in bed as much as possible and Grandma helps ALOT with our son...but there are those times (like coming and going to/from the bathroom) that you just HAVE to check your email and the news or you'd go nuts.  :-)

Thanks!
:-)

Jan 6 huh? (none / 0) (#13)
by Angelee on Thu Dec 04, 2003 at 06:35:59 PM PST

I guess I should've kept reading.....sighhh..I had a whole lot of trouble getting out of the deep, cushy chairs that I love around the end of my last trimester.  Every time I see one of my pregnant fish waddle, I think "I feel your pain, sister".  (smile)

By the way, just to tease... (none / 0) (#11)
by unclescott on Fri Nov 07, 2003 at 05:32:48 AM PST

when a fishclub member has a spawn of ten fry they get breeder's points for that species. ;)

I suggested a third child to my lady. She responded, "Fine, but you're having it." :0
