How long does it take for a female to drop all of her babies?

I've been waiting weeks and weeks and watching my female blow up like a balloon, and finally she's had her babies!!  Well, started to, anyway.  After I got home from school, I checked on her and noticed she was a wee bit skinnier.  I thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, but I looked down at the bottom of the tank and right there was the cutest little baby!!  I looked and saw another one, but I had to leave to go to work so I couldn't stay to watch her.  A couple of minutes ago I got home and discovered she had a few more babies (about 6 in all).  But she still looks big and I can still see dark spots of the babies' eyes in her.  My question is: How long will it take for her to drop all of the babies?  Or, better yet, what's the range of time?  Thanks again for all of your help!!! ^_^

How Long? (none / 0) (#1)

Usually they drop their fry in a matter of hours.

Sometimes it can be longer, over a couple of days.

If you notice her having problems swimming, or eating, or something out of the ordinary, there could be something wrong, but it's rare.

If this is her first litter, 6 fry are a good first batch. If she's had larger litters that you know of, she may not be finished yet.

She will still look pregnant because she still has babies to deliver to you in about a month from now.

Congratulations, and good luck!!
:-)

One of my cobra females "Tigra" had a batch of eleven on November 27 and still is really pregnant looking.  No problems swimming or anything (waddles a bit though).  I kept thinking that WOW that was quick!  Hm guess she'd still expecting
