I have had my 3 female endlers for about a month now. They are paired with 3 male endlers that I've had for about 2 months now. I hear that guppies are constantly breeding. My female guppies don't even look pregnant. How long do females usually take to get pregnant? I hope nothing is wrong with my female fish/male fish.

As mentioned in a diary a couple of weeks ago, a bunch of little bristlenose "plecos" were bid upon and "followed me home" from the CAFE Champaign fish club auction. I won my first bag of them and noticed to my disappointment that they were not the larger 1.3 inch (4cm) little golden (albino) Ancistrus, which I had seen on the auction tables. Those had been raised (out of a spawn of 300 which almost all grew up!) by a gentleman just a couple of chairs over.

I think that table salt is not the best kind of salt to put in your aquarium.

Good afternoon. First of all thanks for such a good site. As an extreme novice you've all answered a lot of my daft questions already.
I have scoured this site in the vain hope of finding an answer to this behavioural question and hope I'm not wasting anyones time as you've answered this question before however.... ( no its not about Guppy pregnancy)

Ok today I was working on my pond filter and I have to pretty much dive in to work with the pipes. I accidentely swallowed the water in the pond by about a mouthful. Is this bad?
