Thanks for your response back! I'm located close to Portland, Oregon. I've been searching and searching for quite some time for a local guppy group. Or even a show somewhat close.

My little fish room is located downstairs. A converted basement actually. So it's on concrete. I do need to think of a way to keep some of the tanks heated. Right now I currently have heaters in the big tanks, and the little ones have no heater. What I have is a portable heater type thing. When it's kept on low, and I keep the windows and doors closed, it keeps the water at about 74-75 degrees. I tend to keep it off when I'm at school, but do leave it on at night since thats when it's coldest.I know it's not a long term solution. But I wasn't crazy about going out and buying a couple dozen heaters.

To keep seasoned, treated water I'm currently using large garbage cans to hold water. ( New of course!) Then I drop in a submersable heater. Then I can siphon water from the garbage can directly into some tanks. Since it does have wheels. And when it's not totally full it's easy to push around. So far it seems to be working quite well. Then the tanks that I can't siphon water directly into, I fill 5 gallon water jugs and fill the tanks that way.

When it comes to water changes, I am somewhat lucky. By my largest tank, there is a window that almost sits on the floor. So I can open the window, and the water goes right out the window into some grass. ( The flowers in that area have been growing MUCH better )

My name on here, GilmoreGuro actually comes from my favorite TV show, Gilmore Girls. haha.
