Levamisole and Flubendazole are among the anthelmintics that have proved most effective again Camallaus

And if you DO use Levamisole, be very sure you get the dosage right.

I suppose it is possible, but most anthelmintics (none / 0) (#5)

don't dissolve very well in water. That is why certain ones aren't even used with fish. Many of the others are actually hard to overdose in the water, they dissolve so poorly. Levamisole can be overdosed, so Charles' advice is best heeded.

As with all commercial medicines, they were first developed to help people or for commercial live stock animals combat some malady. Sometimes the use of things like Levamisole, which was first used with farm animals, was then discovered to be useful with people.) I was a little deflated to realize where the aquarium hobby stood. ;) Thought that something must have been developed specifically for fish. Dosages may have to scaled to the creature and while there may be some treatment specifically developed for our aquatic friends, don't think that we've heard of it yet. :)
