Well, change of plans. After I sold my guppies to the store yesterday (wow $29), I went in search of the cichlids. After walking around for about 15 mintues I asked them where they were. Apparently they have mixed all the cichlids together and couldn't tell which ones were the shell dweling cichlids (isn't that part of their job?). I kinda sulked while my mom began pestering me about the saltwater fish. Eventually, she got me in the saltwater spirit and bought live sand,salt,ph buffer, and a hydrometer yesterday. We removed all the gravel and mixed the saltwater than adding the sand. Suprisingly enough, there were still little babies guppies left behind! These were the ones that got left behind (all the small ones were supposed to go to guppyfreak). How is that possible!? After pouring out all the water, scraping every last bit of gravel out, that's just amazing. I did end up catching them and adding them to my big tank (I suppose you know what happended to them). ANYWAYS, we have now converted the 10 gallon into a small saltwater tank. God bless the clams:)
