It may take 2 weeks before you start seeing readings for nitrItes. Your other water perameters have some bearing upon the timeframe. I don't know if anyone has done research to compare differences (ie. tanks with higher ph vs lower ph etc.) but higher water temps, around 78, usually speed up the process. Keep us updated please!

<G> I understand the feeling. Something gets planted or fry get set up in their own tank and I sit by chanting, "Grow! Grow!"

And to the pair of killies I want eggs from, "Two, Four, Six, Eight! Procreate! Procreate!"

I suppose we could do that with female guppies: "Drop 'em out! Drop 'em out! Wayyyyyy out!
