Hey FireonIce808,

Look at my first answer to your post #1.
See anything interesting in it?

Is the active ingredient in Coppersafe the same as Had-A-Snail?  It must at least be similar.

I guess I'm not as dumb as I think I am sometimes.
Gonna add a dose of that stuff to my 20 gal. today.

I'd put the plants back in now since Coppersafe shouldn't hurt them and if they are harboring the bacterial or viral fugitives, you don't want to reintroduce it all over again.

Just try to keep up with any shedding as best you can, and try to think of it as removing a potentially sick piece of plant.

I wish I could find the room to have a Plant tank.
Then I could always have replacements.

Still trying to come up with a way to keep the Clown Loaches from uprooting everything.

Ahhhh.

Keep me posted,

gg

Hi GG!
Yes, I had read that and decided to use that as my last resort, because I actaully like my snails.  Coppersafe is basically chelated copper and can kill your snails-- I know it can also affect your plants, especially when used in conjuction with Maracyn.  That's why I removed all my snails and plants before the treatment.  I'm wondering if I should add my plants and snails back in now that both treatments are done-- before I filter out the tank to get rid of the extra meds.  What do you think?  The re-introduction of disease did occur to me, but I thought that those things usually die when there are no hosts present after a couple days.  Maybe I'm wrong.  This is probably a question for US, but I think he's given up on this posting at this point.

Why don't you post your question in a new log?
I'd be interested on US's take on the plant
and meds department too.

BTW I kind of like my snails too, as long as they don't overpopulate and start going after my plants, which they are doing now.

Gotta go test some water, and move some fishes around today, I hope.

Take care,

gg
