I think after reading your diary entry, your best
bet for this female would be to get her out of the breeder trap.

If she is as large as I am imagining, she may be suffering in that type of containment.

Scott L. is right that they kill fish, and if this happens well you can lose a good breeder, and all the unborn fry.

Keep the one fry in it if you want, try to change out a bit of water w/ water from the tank.

Make sure that there are plenty of hiding places in the tank for her, and NO Goldfish.
