Guppies go with what kind of fish? | 2 comments (2 topical, editorial, 0 hidden)
You need to swing by your public library and (none / 0) (#1)

borrow a good fish book to check out possible tank mates. I would especially recommend the Baensch Atlas, vol, 1 (or 2 or 3 or one of the specialty volumes). Get it through inter-library loan if necessary. You and yours already paid for that service through your taxes. :)

The two platies, and possiblly the flying fox,  Epalzeorhynchus kalopterus (Bleeker, 1850) or their near relatives, including the SAE or Siamese Algae Eater, Crossocheilus siamensis (Smith, 1931), will leave the guppies alone.

All of the others will devour any young guppy small enough to get into their mouths. The 2 black tetras and white skirt tetra will rip their fins to shreds! Don't put those last ones in with your guppies!

Almost a mantra here: "If a fish can fit into the mouth of another, it will!"  ;)

All the best!
