Are there really places in Australia that are spelled without vowels? Wow!

I think you must mean the Qld I wrote? It's short for Queensland. Australia has 6 states and 2 territories. I went to the beach 4 times in 4 days - Yay! A friend of mine in Wisconsin has trouble pronouncing the beach names Maroochydore and Mooloolaba :)
