So thankful for spell checking.
Glad you've found the site useful K. There have been a number of people like yourself, who seemed to have "cased the place" before joining. That is really gratifying. It hopefully makes the Immediate Help section (miskairal's brainchild) of more use too.
In fact, I think there was that deep down concern that maybe this site (especially with our voting mis-adventures on Aquarank) might dwindle away. No sooner was that put to words on an off-list e-mail than several additional neat individuals showed up in the last week or so. :)
One always wonders who those Anonymous Guppy people in the Who's Online box are. I'm sure a lot are just like I am when Googling and surfing for a quick answer (or spelling). It is neat to see some stick around.
My lady and I have always treated our church and whatever fish club I'm in that way. Visit, check out the people and services available; even visit a business meeting to see how things are run (if you can stay awake!)
Once upon a time, made friends with a graduate student, seminarian actually. He was married and they had several kids, including a youngster with special needs. Single grad students are always skating on the border of financial disaster. ;)
After attending his second or third CKA (Chicago Killifish Association meeting) he mentioned that he felt kind of guilty about not becoming a member and should join. I suggested that he could, but was already family and not to worry about it. He would get mailed (e-mailed today) the meeting notice. I further suggested that his $10 could be better spent on a pair or two of killies, a food culture and a plant start at the next meeting. ;)
There are local clubs and web sites who operate differently. That's why it is good to test drive them a bit. :)
All the best!
