Maybe Scott L., Reza or Geo could offer recommended reading. Maybe your library (or libary as they say around here) could conjure up the (those) books and save you some dinero.

Take plastic bags. Find aquatic plants - Elodea? - (if you are south of the border?) and leave them in the bags with water in a lightly shded spot on the picnic table. Part of the quarantine will be over before you get home if the kids don't play too rough with the bags. ;)

Who's watching the guppies at home? Are the fry in with a bunch of plants?
