Ok as far as the goat dropsy / goat thing goes i have not clue. i have been lucky enough to have very few illness in my tank, i have had several deaths but they where all "new" fish.

But your connection problem grabs my attention :)
I am assuming you have dial up and if the phone company was able to help without makeing u do anything i am going to assume the problem was due to line noise. If that is the case a Int. String in your modem could help with the disconnects.
If you add S10=255 to the end of your Int string. [assuming the phone company had you type one in what was it?] What sort of connection speeds do you get? if they are less then 24.0 you may want to think about switching to a more stable protocol. Maybe puting ATZ+MS=V34S10=255 to your codes would help. :) don't have a clue what i am talking about :) thats ok ;) your friendly neighborhood Tech. Support. Geo

Thanks Geo but they think they've fixed the problem. Yes there was definitley noise to the point where a voice conversation, if you could talk at all, could be disconnected as well!!

Less than 24.0 - well at times it was down to 11 and even 9 - what a joke!! Anyway it was good yesterday, I was here at guppylog catching up quite a bit :)

I've saved you info to my HD for future reference. Oh, and Yes, I know where modem strings go at least but that's about it. BTW, cable will never exist in my lifetime here on our farm, DSL may arrive in about 5 years but I am still too far from the exchange to get it. ISDN and satellite are my only options and way too expensive.

Good luck with your healthy tank. The rest of my fish show no symptoms so far so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
