If you adjust the catfish to you water gradually (none / 1) (#2)

by putting what it the bag or jar with the catfish and then tossed all that water out and carefully dropped the Cory into the tank, his (?) demise is certainly not your fault.
If you fed him a lot of worms, he died as contentedly as possible. :)

Callichthyidae is the family they belong to. That family is split up into two subfamilies. One subfamily includes the Corydorus, Brochus and Aspidorus. The other subfamily contained the somewhat larger bodied Callichthys, Dianema and Hoplosternum. One of the interesting things about that latter group of dwarf catfishes is that they are bubblenest builders.
