     My first response would be, what other kinds of fish are in the tank.  If there is nothing else in the tank, I'd suspect something else.  
     I don't think your gupps are messed up.  If the male doesn't seem interested in either female however, I might suspect he has a disease or was violently rebuffed by one of them. (The ominous bully guppy.)  If it is fin rot, as others have suggested then I would definitely watch for signs on the others, finrot is usually contagious.  It can also be a secondary infection.
