Re: labor tube (none / 0) (#13)

hey I am new here, but I just bought some guppies (as feeder fish for my RES.) They are not fancy guppies or anything, and the lady at the store, when asked, said they were just plain guppies. I really have no idea what a gonopodium or whatever is, and am not even sure if I have all males or all females or a mix. I just know that one of my guppies, Susie, has a wierd tube thing sticking out of her. It might be from stress, cause she was in a bowl with 6 other guppies, which I removed and put in a bigger bowl. I took Dinner (yes I know it is a cruel name!) from the turtle tank and put her in Susie's bowl. That was this evening about 3 hours ago. But I just checked on all 8 on them, and one of the bigger ones hit the dirt(er...gravel) , and Susie has this tube thing. It is long and thin and white. I am not sure if she is a girl, but I do not see any fry around the bowl. Any ideas what that thing is, and if it is harmful?
