I may attempt to use my camcorder to film the tank then play that back onto the HDTV and try to snap shots from there...may still have the problem of reflection but perhaps I can angle the camera so its not as bad.  After I try that one I'll see how it goes and let you guys know.

Manual settings on the digital camera have failed so far.
