My fry actually survived well while I was gone (none / 0) (#10)
by maggie1270 on Tue Jan 06, 2004 at 10:10:18 PM PST

It was my 20 gal community tank that seems to have suffered.

I've used smaller 3 days feeders in the past for weekend trips and they have been fully disolved by the the time we get home on Sunday.  These feeders were a different brand than what I normally use and they were only suppose to be a 7 day feeder which is why I only had my sitter check once after 1 week so he could throw another in.  By the end of our 2nd week we came home and there was still a little bit left so I think some may work better than others.

The tank looked very clean though.  Must be they foraged around pretty good while I was gone.  I think in the future I will have my sitter check more often while we're gone since some feeders do not disolve properly and I have no clue how to choose the right kind (if there is one...)
