my gup big Mamma went into labor sometime early this morning and so far i counted 4 i hope she has more but its 1:46 now so its been at least 7 hours and no sign of more....

does she still look pregnant...? The problem w/ Big Mamma is she always looks pregnant so i can never tell if she's gonna have more...good luck

you probably already know but add salt it helped me w/ my other mommies

Yes, My fish still looks pregnant. I don't know if she always looks pregnant cause I have not seen her when she wasn't pregnant. I just got her 1-19-04 And then last night she popped one out. And none since. Thanks for the salt tip!! I put some in! Write me back asap!

well big mamma's fry count is only 4 i guess the four were the only survivors...but they look great they are eating fine and i still have 2 more soon to be moms to pop any day now...

im not that expierenced so correct me if i am wrong salt should relax them but BE CAREFUL if you have live plants or other tankmates make sure they will tolerate a little salt...I have a trio of little cory's they dont mind the salt and i have java fern and hornwart they dont seem to be affected by it...well if you look on earlier posts i had the same problem "trying to coax the guppy to deliver" be carefull not to stress her(moving into a different tank or a bully fish)do a 10% water change and keep temp 79-81
