What is taking the "bad' stuff out of the (none / 0) (#8)
by unclescott on Fri Jan 23, 2004 at 05:36:11 PM PST

water with a Brita water filter. Does it have charcoal in it to remove chlorine and some chemicals? Is it a mechanical filter with tiny (one micron) holes?

One of the Brita ads talks about an electrical element. Is that in the filter or in the gizmo that checks whether the filter element is used up in either the faucet or pitcher filter?
