the same as guppygirl, test every 2-3 weeks and don't know why when everything is going fine. i have alot of live plants and when some die or get eaten i end up with leftovers on the bottom, so i test. still don't have a good reason to test, i'm over protective of my fish and thats my story and i'm sticking to it.     thanks
