AWFUL! (none / 0) (#4)
by Angelee on Thu Dec 18, 2003 at 04:23:01 PM PST

I've had mine get caught trying to squeeze into odd places too.  Thankfully, I caught them in time.  Depressing.  Sometimes no matter what we do, we'll lose them.  It may have been another parasite or something that got him and weakened his immune system before the dropsy.  I believe we've all had a problem or two from time to time.  Sorry to hear about it.

Well, I found that a filter piece was partially (none / 0) (#5)
by maggie1270 on Thu Dec 18, 2003 at 04:41:40 PM PST

clogged.  I'm wondering if maybe that was one of the big causes of my tank going haywire.  My fish seem to be happier now, but it could just be my wishful thinking.  But all seems to be well now, no more outbreaks (as of yet to be determined).

Yay!!!!!
