This tank has actually been up and running (none / 0) (#2)
by maggie1270 on Tue Dec 16, 2003 at 07:49:59 PM PST

for about a year now.  These balloon mollies have survived when others have not.  I had 2 swordtails in with them and I found 1 swordtail fry and all was well for a few months and then all of a sudden all 3 of the swordtails died one by one.  They had no signs of any symptoms whatsoever.  No noticable attack markings, no fungus, no flashing, nothing.  I got my male guppy in June and he's grown quite a lot. I couldn't imagine him being that old at the LFS, but then again, who knows how long he'd been travelling before he got there.  I want to kinda steer away from the balloon mollies, as they are very messy fish and I'm doing gravel siphoning twice a month because of them.  Oh well.

Well, he's gone (none / 0) (#3)

My last guppy is gone.  Whatever he had took him quick.  He only started showing symptoms of something last night and he was only acting sluggish.  I don't know how he did this but he managed to squeeze himself into a crevace inside the plastic castle.  I have no clue how he got in there because, not to sound gross, I had a hard time getting him out.  Poor thing probably committed suicide 8(
