it can get very frustrating at times. One wonders why we put ourselves through it.

Then there is a day when you look at the tank,
and you see this tiny baby that has survived the
odds.

You also find that he's very, very, good at avoiding capture, as you try to get him into the
breeder net where he will be safe.

And the circle of life begins again.

Just wanted to share something that happened yesterday to me, after I too, had a loss of a new swordtail.

I have a baby tank with about 35 molly and guppy fry.  They guppies are about 3 weeks old and are starting to get some color.  I can't wait to see how they turn out.  Since buying from LFS can be so risky, I think I will wait and see if I have any females in this batch.  Even though their mommy died within a few days of getting her, I have not lost any of the fry (so far at least).
