actually many of the newer filters can be ajusted so the flow is slower though i didnt see my fancy male die of the curent nors have the smaller fancy males or females been effected by it the breeder i got thses babies from said to put them in a tank with a high flow!!

Mabey if they are born and raised in calm waters they live longer in calm waters and die if the flow is changed too quickly!!! besides my barges erm i mean larger females are spitting out their food so mabey fry soon? fish haveing fry usually shows the conditions are good!!!! besides in a 45 gallon tank if they dont like the current they can go down like 3 or 4 inches and its not as strong!!!

I would also like to add that in wild guppy studies the calmer pools of watter had less guppies that the semi fast current pools!! mabey oxigen to surface being grater in faster currents play a factor? Or it could be that the faster currents remove amonia and nitrates and nitrites alot faster than the calmer current!!!
